My common methodology--even with the E-1, is to just pop a showercap
over the camera/lens. Especially when the camera is on a tripod.
These showercaps cost about $70 each, but you do get a free night's
stay in a hotel.
The moisture level UNDER your parka is extremely high. Think what
happens when you put a freezing cold hunk of metal into a warmer, but
humid environment.
The Showercaps rule the day.
