I've been wondering the same thing. In the good old days, olympus released
the manual version of 50mm F2 macro, this lens has so good reputation in
sharpness that Gary used as his reference of A+ in his OM lens test page. It
would make sense if the new version has better performance, but the graphs
show the other way.
