Don't let all the talk about battery drain lead you to missing the
point. John H. was, as usual, economical with words. Notice he didn't
say anything about battery drain :
"If you are going to go with an old OM-4, I suggest at least one with a
new style circuit."
The bigger reasons are that the new circuits are better, more reliable,
and that an old OM-4 with new circuit may well have a newer circuit than
an older 4T(i). As the circuit appears to be the weak point of the
original OM-4, and it is no longer economically feasible to replace the
circuits, one with a new circuit is simply a better bet to last.
