Ah, Bob Seeger. I recall a trip back to southeastern Texas from Wyoming one
year. Around midnight at a seedy little diner across from a huge rail yard
somewhere in the Panhandle. The three of us sat huddled over sausage & eggs
& flapjacks watching the all-night waitress sling grub. Seeger's Shame on
the Moon was playing. It was one of those mood-defining Oscar moments if
someone had filmed it.
