Chris,
The local paper didn't have much information about what we could
expect to see, but the article link is here:

All will occur at the Charleston Airforce Base in South
Carolina. I'll let you know what if anything I see/hear.

Charlie

I'd be interested to hear how they show you DACT going on Charlie.

The rules on any sort of evasive manoeuvring are pretty tight,
especially with the USAF's rules and with the FAA breathing down
their necks on airspace reservation; and full-up air-to-air training
is limited to a "floor" of at least 5,000ft above ground. We can
sometimes see the F-15s from Lakenheath using "our" airspace (it
really irritates me when someone else is having the fun I once had
but can't have any longer ;-)) but it's a big fight and the aircraft
are just larger than dots.

In addition, if they are taking missile shots (heat-seeking missiles)
the fight will be larger; with radar missile practice it will be
completely out of sight.

Can you let me know which AFB it is so that I can look it up on the www?

Chris
