I forgot to add that the 5D has a large 2.5" 230,000 pixel screen which
was also one of your complaints about the E-1.

I also meant to add a warning about used 10D's. A friend just had to
have the shutter replaced in her 10D after about 2 or 2-1/2 years usage.
Canon has never announced a design point for the life of the 10D
shutter but from statements on the 20D (twice as many cycles as the 10D)
and the 5D (100,000 cycles) I'd guess that the 10D design point must
have been about 25-50,000 cycles. She had to pre-pay $200 which is
Canon's flat fee for any service to which they then add parts. They did
full cleaning and adjustment but she never said what, if any, extra they
tacked on for the shutter replacement. Failure was fairly sudden. Some
strange behavior on a couple of shots and then no shutter action at all.
She had no idea what was wrong but I guessed shutter failure based on
the age of the camera and guessing how many frames she might have taken
since it was new. We pop that shutter a lot more times than we ever did
with film.
