I agree with Bill, if you are going for custom scribing and will be using
the screen in a 2SP, 3 or 4, you might just as well go for the 2 series
screen.

While the 1-10 is, as Pangerl says, highly recommende for use with the shift
lenses, it is not a requirement for use with a shift lens, nor is it usable
only with a shift lens. You will fnd it very difficult to judge the
non-convergence of verticlas without a scribed screen of some sort, whether
or not you use a shift lens. And you will find it very useful for more
generla photography, again, whether or not you use a shift lens.

Get one, you won't regret it.

Chuck has already posted that he has a 2-13 scribed, for sale.

I have a 1-10 for sale, the original, beware of after market imitations ;-)

Custom scribing of a 1-13 seems like it might be a good solution. Is there
any downside?

Only that you would probably be happier if you had it done on a 2-13
rather than the 1-13. John at Camtech has done several for me over the past
few
years and you will be pleased with his work. Bill Barber
