Bill,

Weatherwise this is a real crap shoot as others have mentioned. Weather
on Whidbey should be much better than in Seattle as it rains about 1/2
as much there...at least on the northern half of the island. Ordinarily
you could catch the tulip fields in the Skagit Valley on the way to
Whidbey but this year everything is early and the bloom will be over by
mid to end of April. <http://www.tulipfestival.org/> Might be worth
pushing your dates up a few weeks if you can as the spring weather will
be about the same from now til mid July :(. And the fields are quite a
sight. Daffs are already about done. Don't plan on going to the Olympics
unless you can squeeze in a few more days, It's a day just to get out
there from Seattle. The mountains are still snowed in (until June) and
the beaches are wet, wet, wet. 5x more rain than Seattle! Instead check
out Deception Pass, Ebbey's Landing or Fort Casey State Parks on Whidbey
Isl. and/or take a short ferry ride over to Port Townsend. This could be
made into a loop trip back to Seattle via Hood Canal bridge and another
ferry ride.
