There was no "fix" on either shot.  Both are right out of the camera, except 
for a couple of minor tweaks to contrast and sharpness in the RAW stage, and 
then saved as TIFF files.  The ones I posted are just 800x600 JPEGs of the 
full-size TIFFs.
