35~105 is my favorite though not a 'mid range'. Add a wide and the
200/5. Maybe a 2x in which case I might substitute the 135/3.5. I've
used the Tamron 28~200 as a single lens kit but the quality trade off is
too much for me. The Tokina 35~200 is a better choice but then I'd carry
an additional wide.
