You answered my question. Since I haven't used the T28 twin manually, and
based on the calculator panel, I questioned whether one would ever take the
flash out of half power. I thought you tests may show something different.
Anyway, I will try some manual work but TTL will probably be my choice. I
like the quickness of the t28, 135mm and a monopod. If I have the time (and
tripod) to compute manual flash, I probably would not use flash at all.

You'll have to check the archives, Dean, but that is missing the point
a little. He was working with a 50mm and a T32, I believe, and I with
a 90/2 and T28. You really need to roll your own, since your camera,
flash, film, subjective impressions, etc. are all a little different
from Gary's or mine.
Couple clues I recall. In my previous note, I said these were manual
stops on the lens with full output of the flash. In the case of the
flash it is almost certainly not full dump but half power at the most,
particularly when you are trying to relate the proper stop to a ratio
of 1:10 or closer.
