Olympus E-500 (EVOLT)

Olympus has just announced their latest Four Thirds System digital SLR, the
eight
megapixel E-500 (known as the Olympus EVOLT E-500 in North America).
Compared to the E-300 this new camera has a much more traditional SLR
appearance with a typical viewfinder prism, center mounted flash and deep hand
grip. The E-500 includes a fairly wide range of new features and improvements
including a new metering sensor, new higlight / shadow biased spot metering,
new
high ISO noise reduction and a 2.5" LCD monitor. Perhaps the most interesting
thing
about this camera is its price, bundled with a 14-45 mm (28-90 mm equiv. FOV)
lens
it should hit the streets at just US$799.
