I measured 11.3 volts on my T Power Control, with the trigger contact 
positive and the shoe negative.  This was much discussed in early 
January 2005 with subject "[OM] Vivitar 550FD M/P/O discussion".

Make sure the voltmeter has an input impedance of at least 10 
Megohms, or the measurement could be badly in error.
