John,

Which means, all OM-1 non-MD's were manufactured with
prism foam, and it's either been removed on this
camera already or by sheer luck it hasn't eaten away
at the prism yet?

This camera may be coming your way pretty soon. I
could probably open up the top plate and clean out the
foam, and replace the back foam myself, but the bit of
foam on the mirror leads me to believe the mirror foam
needs replacing, too.

And then I start to think that for $99, you'll do all
of that, adjust the meter and shutter, convert the
battery, and a host of other things. It's a bargain!

How do you accomplish the battery conversion? Ancient
chinese secret, or just a diode to drop the voltage?

And, I apologize to everyone if these are questions
that occur over and over again here -- I first went to
search the list archives but they appear to be down.

Best Regards,

Steve
