I think we knew that already. But we love you anyway. :-)

You need to live closer to your processor, or print your own.

Because you don't have a CD burner?

WHAT? Decent blank CDs around here are well under half a US$. Even the
best made are cheaper than that.

As the Schnozz said, prints from digital files should cost about the
same as film prints.

Exactly! How many gazillion useless prints are made in film process and
print everything mode?

Go digital, print only the ones worth a print and save the planet!

Seriously, even with film, I stopped buying the one print of all frames
long ago. Saves a lot of money. Makes bracketing much cheaper and more
practical. I used to pay for scans from the processor, but they weren't
consistent enough to be really useful. With my own scanner, I do my own
scanning and only the ones worth a print get printed and the ones not
even worth saving on disk get thrown away at no cost.

Doing the analysis your way, leaving out your labor and amortization of
equipment costs, digital is way cheaper for me than film is. But I'm not
going to do a full analysis 'cause that's part of what retirement is
about for me.
