Maybe I'm just wicked retahded, but back when we used to have desk fans
with no shields I can remember accidentally getting nicked from time to
time. Eventually those fans started coming with screens around the
blades so people wouldn't hack off a finger next time they
absentmindedly reached for something. Why can't they put guards like
that one windmills? I've been driving by the Altamont windmills when a
bird was killed on more than one occasion. Seems like such an easy fix.
I'm sure it would decrease efficiency slightly, but it seems worth it.
