Don't know what you consider to be reasonable cost. If you care about
having your prints around, unfaded, in 4 or 5 years I would get an
Epson pigment ink printer like the R800. I wonder if you used third
party inks with your Epson? That is almost always the culprit. I am on
an Epson printer list and the when a clogging problem problem comes up
nearly everyone is surprised and many times it is someone using some
cheap ink. My Epsons have been very reliable, sometimes sitting for
months unused.
The best place I have found for cheap original manufacturer Epson inks
and papers is atlex.com.
