OK, but it's not easy!

Start with the top, of course. After removing the screw inside the battery
chamber, put the flash face down on a mat and while squeezing the rear of
the flash with your index finger and thumb on the rear corners, gently push
a flat screwdriver into the seam between the top and bottom, just next to
where your thumb/finger are. Push first on one corner then on the other,
gently twisting the screwdriver to spread the rear end of the top up. Once
there's a gap to give your fingers purchase, lift the top off, rear end
first.

Once open, be sure to discharge the main cap and trigger cap (the large
yellow cap in front) before going any further, or risk a nasty bite!

Next, unscrew the retaining cap at the center of the dials on the back. We
use a rubber stopper to turn it without scratching.

Once the retainer is off, all the plates and the dial at the back will come
off. Then you will need to remove the metal plate that's glued to the back
of the flash -- the one with all the #'s, etc. My trick is to gently work a
small flat screwdriver between the plastic of the body and the metal plate
from the top, then put a few small drops of acetone in the gap to loosen the
glue. Then work the screwdriver over a little, add a few more drops of
acetone, etc., until the plate works off. Underneath at the bottom of the
dial is a brass detent plate and spring that makes the dial click into the
settings -- don't loose! Also, the windows over the neon lamps may come
loose as well.

(Before reassembly, you'll want to clean all the glue off the back side of
the plate and flatten it as much as you can.)

Under the plate you'll find two screws, at 3 and 9 o'clock in relation to
the dial -- remove them.

If it hasn't come out already, you will need to lift out the main cap --
it's stuck to the lower circuit board with adhesive tape. Just lift the end
of the cap up until is comes unattached and lay it over to the side. Under
the main cap you'll find two screws that must be removed.

You can lift out the flash tube assembly at the front at any time.

Now it is possible to lift out the whole circuit board assembly. To get the
rear circuit/dial to clear the body, you may need to bend the plastic out a
little, but it can be worked out. The gray coaxial wire to the sensor in
the front of the flash is still attached to the circuit, as are three wires
that go to the circuit board in front of the main cap, and three wires to
the rear circuit board, but if you're careful they should not pose a
problem. On the main switch at the back is a plate that's half red/half
black that may fall off (the red end goes down), and underneath is a vinyl
shield to protect the circuit board.
