At one time that may have been mostly true but now it is changing. I
think many Latin American countries make their own cars with which to
polute their cities. All the way from new VW's and Mercedes trucks from
Mexico and Brasil to brand "new" US old models from surplus tooling. If
I remember correctly Chile used to produce a lot of Deux CV's.  What a
death trap!. And maybe Fernando or a listero from Argentina  will know
if the Rastrojero diesel is still being made. A real stinker that is!
