Maybe I am mistaken on this.  I thought the camera used a pair of button 
batteries that are about the same diameter as the battery cap on the camera. 
  Is this true of the OM-2N?  Is the black spacer a standard part of the 
camera allowing them to use the smaller diameter battery without modifying 
there exsiting camera design?  After work I will go to the store and find 
the correct battery and see what size it is.
