They are lighter, and fair warning--they are also made of a very much softer
material and mark easily. I have one that has a dark spot where the tongs
touched it as I was snapping it into place, and another one that got marked
slightly when the retainer slipped down as I shot (I must have put it in to
lightly as a result of the lesson learned on the first one.) If anyone
doesn't mind the slight distractions (not very noticible in low light and
dark settings) Contact me off list for a bargain.
