Well, let me explain the purpose of this list. The Main purpose of this
list is to promote Zuikoholism in all its forms, film or digital. The 2econd
reason is to discuss which SUV you should get to haul it all around with,
the 3hird reason is to talk about anything you want, the 4ourth reason
is to inform new owners of the OM-2 how to replace the batteries when
the mirror locks up, ..... and .... When I joined the list you could still
purchase
a new OM-4t or OM-3t, B&H stocked many lenses, etc. so it was not an
old guy nostalgia camera system. It seems to have become one, and
from my perspective OM continues in reincarnated form through the E-1.

Well this fits the first purpose of the list, to promote Zuikoholism. Some
people need to be prodded, otherwise they might become cheap
cost oriented people unable to figure out how to purchase new gear
without upsetting the spouse.

Actually the most important purpose of this list is photography, especially with
OM's. As photographers there is an inherent *need* to share photography.
Photography is a very democratic medium. Most of us will never become
famous with our photography, but that does not mean we cannot improve
and occasionally make a photo that rivals the masters. And any photograph
that shows life as only we can see and experience it is a marvelous thing.
Maybe we need to figure out how to share photos even more. Yeah, when did
I last contribute to TOPE? Actually, I have a number of photos that I just never
got around to scanning and submitting. Time goes by, other priorities take
the time, etc. not a very good excuse.
