Dislike it! That's not strong enough. I really don't like it at all either,

Histograms? I have read that word before, and must get around someday to
reading about what it is all about :-)
Anyways, my old HP scanner kind of has a mind of its own, varies from one
day to another, and I just use the limited software that came with it to
bring it back to look as near to the original slide as I can. I can never
seem to make it look as good as the slide.
