I don't think the strength of the rack is the limiting factor. I think the whole vehicle will be rocking and rolling like a ship at sea with you up there unless you use some sort of stabilizer jacks like on an RV. I've tried setting up a tripod in the back of my pickup and it is a total waste of time.
