Jim,
I have no first hand experience with this flash, however a quick
perusal of Photographyreview.com gives it mixed reviews...powerful but cheap
build quality...complaints of multiple failures. Maybe DOD is getting rid of
them for a reason.

What does anyone know about them? Kenmore has a bunch of them right now
they're selling as used, salesman told me they were actually returns from
DOD (Navy?) having never actually been used. I perused a couple, and they
do in fact look brand new. They're selling them for 199USD a pop.
I was interested until I saw a used (EX+ condition) T45 with charger in the
cabinet that I talked them down to $250 on.
