Thanks John! Actually I find that the tab which closes the diaphragm 
at its preset value does not respond to the DOF button. I can move 
the tab to close the diaphragm myself, but nothing happens when I 
press the DOF button.

Does this mean that the diaphragm will not close when I press the 
shutter release? And what could i do?
