My personal take on Maxxum's is they slowly went downhill. Overall quality
is terrible. I have seen quite a few broken Maxxums in recent years.

I believe that the 7000i was at one time the top of the range consumer model
from Minolta in the late 80's. I have a Maxxum5 as well as some Minolta MF
cameras (XG-1 and X7-A). I really like my Maxxum, it has a fast AF , pretty
simple to use and produces excellent pictures. I considered buying a 7000i
in the past but those program cards put me off.The newer models have all
that functionality built in. I also had a 3000i that had a problem with the
apeture and autofocus system. Aparantly this is a common problem with Maxxum
cameras of that Era. You should be able to find a bunch of reviews on the
net for this camera.
