Daniel,

I own both an XA and a Rollei 35s and they are both excellent cameras. 
The Sonnar lens is IMO the better lens. Keep in mind that the Rollei has 
no rangefinder and is a scale focus lens, so some your ability to 
estimate distance may enter into things a bit (vs the original RF XA). 
The Sonnar is also a 40mm (a focal length I really like) vs the 35mm on 
the XA. Both are excellent cameras, but the edge in image quality goes 
to the Rollei.
