There seems to have been a spate of people who respond through the List
on personal subjects such as negotiating for goodies etc... ;-)
For those who don't know (I exclude those who hit 'Reply' by mistake on
a List message) it is very simple to reply direct to the sender of a
message to the List: compose a new message and copy the address of the
required correspondent into the 'To' box. If you are using Mail on the
Mac, running the mouse pointer over the sender's address in produces a
little triangle which, when clicked, gives you a list of options, one
of which is "Reply to Sender".
