Many of us diehard OM-system fans are feeling the pinch of digital and
the angst about choosing whether this is the next step for them. Since
the E-1 is supposed to be a system camera with zuiko glass many of us
have a lot of interest. So yes, a lot of digital talk is happening but
I respect the opinions of many on this list over most other sources;
especially because they know the OM-system well and are of like mind
(well sorta like minded, just a little) and very technically
knowledgeable on photography (and sometimes life itself).

Perhaps the OM system is becoming only a hobby camera and no longer a
working camera. How many people on this list said "film for me forever"
a year ago and are now seriously contemplating digital? I must have 30
rolls of film I have yet to process - that is edit and scan. If I were
a professional, I don't think I could afford the lost time. Certainly
film has its merits and its magic.

I would sorely miss the experts on this list if they migrated to
digital or another system camera and felt they could no longer
participated here - with the list subsequently becoming only for OM
hobbyists. I value their sharing and experience of other systems
greatly, including digital. We've never been successful in the past
when trying to limit list discussion. The only limit I would impose on
this list is for people to be civil and respectful of others, have
tolerance, and think twice before interpreting a post in a personal
way.
