| Someone looked at velvia under a very high power microscope and posted a web page explaining that pepper grain was caused by small evenly dispersed bubbles in a scratch resistant layer of the film. If I can find the link I'll post it. When velvia is scanned you can get numerous tiny black dots in the image. -jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Boris Grigorov" <alienspecimen@xxxxxxxxxx> What is "pepper grains"? < This message was delivered via the Olympus Mailing List > < For questions, mailto:owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > < Web Page: http://Zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright/olympuslist.html > |
