The person who responded to my MA-1 adapter question was Manabu Oikawa
I have wondered if perhaps the MA-1 will come along later after the
camera and new lenses have had a chance to establish the "system"
optical quality. There is no doubt that the 4/3 lenses have to be
designed and built to a higher resolution standard than OM lenses
because of the small sensor.
It could be that they are concerned that photos taken with the E-1 and
OM lenses will be taken as the quality level of the system. After the
camera has been out for awhile and the web is flooded with images taken
with the 14-54 zoom they may be willing to allow the release of the
MA-1. Let's hope so. Of course, I may have already bought a Canon 10D
by that time.
