Believe so but it's a bit more complicated - B+W is a Schneider
company and there is or was some incestuous interrelated shareholding
between them and Schott and Zeiss and Leica as I understand, mostly
to guarantee stable supplies of rare glass. Anywhat, I always thort
that Leica and Contax filters were simply rebadged B+W and certainly
had Schott glass in them.
But then, I have been known to be wrong.....August 1973, I think it was....
