I am thinking of getting an LS-4000. Sounds like you recommend it.

Hi,

Sorry C.H.Ling! I would like to clarify! I said LS-4000 is the
best 35mm CCD scanner in the market today in terms of
optical quality, dynamic range and colour accuracy. A good
point is that Ed Hamrick believes it. And I´ve never seen before
a powerful software like Vuescan. Sorry for the misunderstanding
and I am very sorry if any people was offended.

I know LS-8000 is a multiformat CCD scanner but reading
hundreds of e-mails before buying LS-4000, many people
told me that LS-8000 suffer from banding.

As I´ve told you before, "very glad to hear from you again."

Dave

Just to make it clear, that was Dave said not me. I'm sure LS4000 is not the
best scanner, may be one of the more affordable one that suits my need.
Anyway I use the LS4000 a lot, some for jobs and some for thousands of my
old negatives and slide in pass twenty years, still a long way to go.

C.H.Ling
