Do you really need two flash units? If not, jusr butcher one unit with one
flash.

However, still unable to afford a T-28 twin, my next idea is to butcher two
T-20s and a T-32 to make my own. First remove the flash reflectors/ bulbs
from all three units, then connect the T-20 reflectors, on foot long leads,
to the power going to the T-32 reflector in parallel. Should be very simple
electrically - no need for any elctronic work, just connecting leads. Hey
presto, twin flash with very light weight heads, and the T-32 sits in the
hotshoe. Should work on auto too, output could be varied with ND filters.
Again the bracket is the problem, but without the weight should be easier,
and could mount to the lens. Without buying all the leads and connectors it
would probably work out cheaper too.
