Unless you're making photos with black light, I can't think of any
reason to look for dust outside of the visible spectrum.

The first thing to know about dust is that almost every lens has some,
especially macro lenses that pull air in when they extend the
barrel.

The second thing is that it usually is harmless.  If it sticks on an
oily diaphram blade, it's a problem.  But if you inspect the
inside with a clear 100watt reading light and find a few specks, it's
generally accepted wisdom that it does not affect pictures in
ANY way.  There's plenty of dust floating around between the main mirror
and the eyepice of a reflector telescope, right?  It's not
even sealed.
