Bill, This months (July) copy of Black + White Photography issue 23 UK. has a
very interesting article using Ilford SFX film. It states...when using a deep
red filter produces the high contrast results generally associated with true
infra red films. Can also be used without filter to produce good pictorial
contrast. Can be loaded in subdued light. For best infra red results use Ilford
or cokin SFX deep red filter.
  www.ilford.com
Cover price of mag £3.25 with free 36 exp SFX film value £6.40. Something of
a bargain. Regards, John Duggan, Wales, UK.
