Without having dissected a hot shoe (Shoe 1, 2, 3 or 4) I suppose you could
if you were a hotshot machinist with a milling machine come up with a
replacement for the black plastic parts made of aluminum. How much this
would cost if made by a skilled machinist I can't guess, but I suppose you
could sell them if they said "Leica" on them instead of Olympus...
