Hoping to not say anymore on the subject, when your post showed up not just 
goofily
trying to insult me. :)

If there is a point here, it could be made that who Tom snags 100 bucks from is 
not
getting XP with wear on it - it will be as newly installed on his harddrive and 
as
unused as can be.

Like getting a newly built 1967 corvette 427 right off the chevy assembly line 
and
no wear on any parts. And that IS impossible, but the only "car" analogy that 
would
be applicable.

He could give them the program, then Microsoft AND he will not make money on it,
like the people downloading XP from a site for free - of course someone had to 
buy
the program originally to have it placed on a website - so Microsoft got some
money. (and its easy to get on the web without someone getting $100).

Its just food for thought. The "law" aspect of it is just a function of who can
afford the most expensive lawyers to get the software laws to go their way - 
and we
have to sheepishly accept it or get flamed by the software weenies on the list. 
:)
