The letter suffix denotes region sold and I believe the "e" indicates
European market (PAL video output).

Can't say for sure in Europe. An Olympus US factory packed E-10 includes
the lens hood, a remote, a 32mb SM card, a strap, a couple of batteries
to get you started, and an instruction book. The lens hood is expensive
and a good idea to have.

digital images of around 120 people ...so I'd be looking at maybe 300+ =

300+ shots? What shooting mode? Will you have a laptop to dump files
into handy? I carry a bit over 512mb which is good for a couple hundred
shots in the lowest compression/highest resolution JPEG shooting mode.
Without a laptop or digital wallet to dump files to, I suggest a couple
of 512mb CF cards. You can use microdrives, but they are "unsupported"
and the 1gb version is not a good idea. You will also want several sets
of NiMh batteries and at least one (maybe two) charger.

HTH and good luck.
