Depends on the image, some are worth waiting for others not, the problem
is you don't know whether it was worth it until it's loaded !

I don't have any problems with images up to 100kB (see previous
comment), if it's real content, what annoys me is waiting for all the
"decoration" bits to load - not pointing particularly at any list
member's site.
