Hi,

I don't know how this will work out but I think OK. He is a little bent out
of shape that I found fungus in his lens and doesn't believe that it may not
be repairable as John Hermanson has stated. Apparently some of the 300mm
lenses were superglued together and cannot be disassembled. I can't imagine
a company doing something like that but John always knows what he is talking
about. I will send it to him for evaluation and (if practical) repair. I
bought about $2200 worth of stuff from this guy and most of it is very nice.
I wanted some of the things for my granddaughters and just a couple of
things for myself. Will resell the rest.

Snow is coming slow this year. They had Yellowstone closed to snowmobiles
for a while as the snow pack was insufficient. We got enough last week that
they were able to reopen the West entrance. C'mon snow......

I hope you had an enjoyable holiday season.

/jim

Any of us who have bought more than a few things on ebay have learned how
to ask the right questions before hand and even that isn't enough sometimes.
I think the scale is tipped to my advantage (and I'm sure yours) by the
outstanding buys I have picked up over the past several years from ebay.
Was the seller willing to work with you a little? It seems a little more
difficult to do when you have purchased a package at a decent price. Bill
