As you all have pointed out it's the photographer who creates the image-good
or bad and equipment doesn't work all by itself.

However, he makes a good point by pointing out the changing mediums and
distribution of our creations. Control and copywrite problems have been a
problem for years for the recording industry (Napster and pirated overseas
CD copies etc.) and this could be something we face more and more as high
quality scanners and printers become lower priced.

It might be that a professional photographer might become less involved with
the "printing" and distribution of images in the future and have to charge
more for his/her creative work in creating the images in the first place.

BTW, yes Cunard, is doing fine." Cunard has offered regularly scheduled
service between the U.S. and England since 1840, with the legendary QE2
operating the route since 1969. Her final transatlantic season will feature
17 crossings between New York and Southampton, England, from April through
December 2003.

Beginning in April 2004, Cunard?s transatlantic service will be assumed by
the $800 million Queen Mary 2, currently under construction. QE2 will
continue to offer round-the-world voyages and will operate an exciting new
schedule of cruises departing from Southampton. "

So much for the demise of Cannard. ;>}

Today's Slashdot (http://www.slashdot.org) has an article discussing one
customer's experience with digital imaging from his wedding. The main
article is at http://digitalpilgrim.com/personal/photo.html .
