Ditto. You will only hurt yourself in the long run.

Windsor continues:
Walk into the nearest dealer that you know that might handle used Olympus and tell them what your situation is and that you would like to buy replacements when you get your insurance settlement. Ask them whether they would be willing to give you a written estimate of the value of your equipment, mint condition of course and based on the price they would sell it to you. They should be happy to do that for a possible future sale.<<

Ditto, again.

Addendum to Windsor: Go to Keh.com (Used) and/or BHphoto.com (Used) and get a ballpark figure of what a replacement would cost. You may find that for a few dollars more (out of your pocket) you could upgrade the body to a OM-4 or OM-4T.

The key here is that you want the insurance to cover the cost of the body, not your wallet.
