I'd definitely recommend that. Did Scotland - basically all around the
coastline - in '99; however, not on a VFR (though we had one in our
group) but on my own FJ 1200. Great trip, even though on the
second-last day my tankbag with, among other things, my entire photo
kit (OM-2n, XA, a few lenses, flash, tripod, part of my exposed film,
....) was stolen. If I had to pick a favorite among all the regions we
passed through it would probably be the area around Loch Carron. I
definitely liked the west coast better than the eastern one. Edinburgh
was very interesting. The only negative thing about Scotland is it's
incredibly expensive (though, since the last government change here,
we're quickly getting there, too).
