[OM] CF Monopod question

I've decided that I really need a lightweight monopod, and now I
need some advice.  It looks as though there are three 'pods that
fill the bill: Slik 380, Bogen 3449, and Gitzo G1568.

Any experience and/or opinions?  What makes the Gitzo sell for
about US$100 more than the US$120 Slik and Bogen?
