Missed again Sam. I simply said you can't have any idea of the economics of
production of a particular item til you've tried to produce it..... Period.

Isn't it great to be the Monday morning quarterback studying things "after
the fact" and without the benefit of knowing what the decision makers
actually faced. There are many millions of new cars sold each year that
often have crossover parts that a parts specialist can produce and make
money at ---- how many new manual focus SLRs were procuced world wide last
year????

Nice try Sam -- to make it real simple are you prepared to go to work,
receive nothing and in turn pay your employer $10 an hour for the
"privelege" of working? That is what you want Olympus to do - subsidize
your passion for the OM system.
