You have to pay for quality. Those holes are precision made, so you'll get sharper images.

Try DIY model with a no-name body cap available at camera shows. The best way is as Jim states, but the thinner the material, the better. Sheet metal wont make the best pinhole. Thick, oven-baking Aluminum Foil is especially nice, and you can try a lot of times to get it right. The hard part is keeping the hole free of diffraction-creating burrs.

Why not make your own - I did! Purchase a plastic flat body cap, or even
use an Olympus one (I didn't want to destroy one of my precious Olympus
caps!). And then have a machinest drill a pinhole in thin sheet metal and
drill a larger hole in the cap. Carefully glue the piece of sheet metal
over the hole and voila!

Anyone know where I can get pinhole body caps for OM and Leica M mount? The
ones over at the pinholeresource.com are so expensive. I remember that
there was mention on the OM list before of a cheaper alternative.

Anyone?
