Hi Dave

Front elements for the 100/2 were available 6 months ago.  I say this  
because the previous owner of mine had it replaced because it had a tiny 
chip or something. The NZ agents did the job.

Funny thing, the new element has a mark on it !!. Doesn't bother me; marks 
on the front have to be peculiarly bad to make much difference.

Recall that 24mm shift lens being sold in Australia that caused so much 
amusement in the group? It had a HUGE gark in the top of the lens *fixed* 
with a dollop of plastic or something to keep the dust out. But it still took 
good shots. I saved the pic of the lens and a photo it had taken. That was an 
extreme example; but I've had very experienced people tell me similar.
