I have repaired a couple for myself, a half-dozen or so for other people
because of this problem. The problem is that di-electric corrosion in
these contacts stop them pushing back out after they have been pushed
in. I take the contacts out completely, and clean them up, and then
apply a thin film of DeoxIT before re-assembly. This hapened to my first
Winder2 when it was only 6months old. Seem like an engineering defect.
